Hello my name is Cheryl Komzak. I am the assistant director at TCOB where I am a clinic floor instructor. I have been a licensed cosmetologist since 1980 when I graduated from high school. Wow!!

I was raised in a small town in Wyoming. I had the opportunity to take cosmetology while I was in high school. I have an uncle and nephew who are barbers and my father was a high school teacher so hair and teaching is in my blood! With a cosmetology license under my belt I was able to leave Wyoming and get licensed here in AZ. I’ve been working in this industry for a very long time and I have never wanted to do anything else. It has been a fun exciting career. The best part is the constant change and growth. No two days are the same and no two customers are the same. At TCOB we do our best to keep up with the changes and update our program to keep classes current.

I always remembered how much my father loved teaching so I decided to become an instructor. I have been teaching for 5 years and it has just added to the enjoyment I have already received from the industry. Seeing a student learn and grow gives me a great feeling of accomplishment. At TCOB we are goal oriented and help students realize their dreams of working in the cosmetology industry.
